We're happy to provide a list of resources available to our postgraduate and practicing providers aimed to keep health care providers in Kansas.
Kansas Bridging Plan (KBP)
A loan forgiveness program for primary care and psychiatry residents created to encourage physicians to practice in Kansas upon completion of their residency training.
Kansas Locum Tenens
A temporary coverage program that offers coverage for rural and urban underserved health care organizations in Kansas. Uses practicing physicians, nurse practioners, physician assistants, medical mission providers and resident physicians to fill coverage requests.
Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC)
A centralized, statewide program specializing in health care workforce development, retention and strategic planning. Since 2004, the KRRC has assisted over 320 physicians and other health care professionals with finding a job in a Kansas community.
Office of International Programming (OIP)
OIP is dedicated to serving students, postdocs, faculty, staff and the medical center's international population in support of academic and research pursuits with the goal of enabling their success in supporting the academic mission of the university.
The Inbound Program
Provides assistance and ensures visa compliance for all international students, visitors, observers, employees and volunteers on campus.
Committed to fostering and assisting with the international educational and professional experiences of KU Medical Center students, faculty and staff. The goal is to support and ensure the safety and success of all international travel experiences.
