Today, careers in health care go far beyond physicians and nurses. The health care field is rapidly growing and includes more than 250 different professions. It's the goal of AHEC to help introduce the many different career choices to rural Kansas students through our various programs.

Whatever your interest, there is a place for you in health care. For example, students interested in information technology will find plenty of jobs as health care moves into the digital age. We work to showcase the wide variety of health care career opportunities available. We want Kansas students to be successful in an enjoyable career and we hope they choose one in health care.

Are you a health science teacher? We have a newsletter resource just for you! Running from September through May, this correspondence provides information and updates on AHEC programs and other resources that could benefit you and your classroom. For more information, or to subscribe, email Tina Goosz.
