The Office of Compliance oversees various compliance programs that support the University’s efforts to adhere to the laws, regulations, policies and other standards that govern University activities while advancing its mission. To this purpose, the Office of Compliance identifies and mitigates compliance risk, promotes compliance awareness, and encourages the conduct of University business in accordance with the highest standards of honesty and integrity as set forth in the University’s Code of Ethical Conduct.
To create a culture of accountability and integrity that promotes a University wide collaboration and commitment to the highest legal, ethical and professional standards.
To be recognized as an effective compliance program that advances the achievement of excellent outcomes and is seen as an integral component in the ethical conduct of research and education.

The Code of Ethical Conduct affirms the University of Kansas’ commitment to the highest standards of ethical, legal, and professional behavior. This Code also recognizes the importance of adhering to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Kansas Board of Regents and University policies. Ultimately, the Code of Ethical Conduct reflects our individual and collective commitment to the fulfillment of the University’s Core Institutional Values.
